Seminar on Italian architecture
On May 24th Galileo Galilei Italian Institute organised a seminar about Italian architecture at the School of Real Estate in Daxuecheng, held by Francesco Cerrai, Italian teacher in Chongqing and art expert.
Francesco introduced some of the most relevant Italian ancient buildings, from the Greek Era until today, focusing on the important role that they played in the development of Western culture. The seminar concentrated mainly on the particular relationship between those buildings and the environment, in some moments about the surrounding environment and in other with the most remote environment. Through this particular point of view, Francesco was able to show some of the deepest meaning of those building.
More than 50 students and some professors attended the seminar, who were very impressed by the peculiarity and the talent with which some buildings were built such as the Pantheon in Rome.
